The Effectiveness of Writing Circles Strategy in Developing Academic Writing Skills in EFL Classrooms

چکیده

This is an experimental study aiming to explore the effect of applying ‘Writing Circles’ strategy (WCs) in writing classrooms. WCs a type collaborative methodology that relies heavily on peer- based learning. The aimed give group not less than 20 students from college languages and translation, Najran University, chance apply circles how it affects their progress writing. It also role scaffolding students’ communicative performance. Both quantitative qualitative data analyses were employed this research. Quantitative analysis was related performance, while concerned perceptions about experiences application. Pre- post-tests given participants order check after application strategy. parallel data, tests reflection sheets, led compatible results proved WCs’s positive contribution has remarkable reinforcing skills, promoting interaction, developing skills. Furthermore, showed enjoyed working collaboratively which reflects active atmosphere for language
